A big change is coming...

We didn't think we'd find a place in Arizona until 2017, but on 24-JUN-16 a property came on the market that got our attention.  It had everything we were looking for in terms of size, layout, lot and location within the community.  So we made an offer and headed down to Tucson to check it out.

The house is located in Sun City Oro Valley, an "active older adult" community of 2,500 homes just north of Tucson, AZ.   There is a golf course, tennis courts, pickleball courts, bocce ball courts, mini golf, a large pool, a huge activity center and fitness center and many craft studios.  There are also two smaller clubhouses (one with a swimming pool and club meeting rooms and another with pool tables, ping pong, an art studio and a photography studio).  There are also 130 active clubs within the community for a huge variety of interests. On Thursday 30-JUN-16 we had some very competent inspectors at the home and we received their comprehensive reports the next day.  There are a few things that will need to be addressed, but nothing major.  Just as we were leaving the house we had a backyard visitor - a bobcat!!!

Our closing is scheduled for 30-AUG-16, so now we need to get busy so we can get our Brookfield, WI home on the market.  [UPDATE: Our house is sold with a closing date of SEP 15]. We'll still be back in WI for visits, and may rent a place for a month or so in the summer, but we have no desire to own two homes!
